"Growth happens in steps—through support, self-advocacy, and strategy, individuals can build the confidence to navigate life’s transitions with success."
Nora B.
As a Coordinator at New Frontiers, Nora works closely with clients to strengthen their executive functioning skills, navigate key life transitions, and prepare for academic and professional success. She takes a collaborative approach, helping individuals build strategies for organization, time management, and follow-through while also developing the confidence to take on new challenges. Nora is deeply committed to fostering growth and independence, ensuring that each client feels supported as they work toward their personal and professional goals.
Nora brings a strong background in public service and human services, with extensive hands-on and administrative experience. She has worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including meeting basic needs, managing health concerns, and overcoming economic barriers. With a Bachelor of General Studies and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut, she has built her career around supporting both youth and adults in transition. Her professional path includes specialized work in youth transition services and adult career readiness, where she guided individuals in developing the skills and resources needed to succeed in school, the workplace, and beyond. In addition, Nora serves as an Adjunct Professor, teaching social and human services courses and mentoring college students as they navigate academic, social, and environmental demands.
One of the most rewarding parts of her career has been her work with young adults with disabilities, where she has helped individuals build self-advocacy skills, engage in community life, and develop strategies for social and learning success. Her ability to create trusting, supportive relationships ensures that those she works with feel empowered to take meaningful steps toward greater independence.
Outside of New Frontiers, Nora is an active and community-minded person who values connection and creativity. She enjoys cooking and hosting a weekly “girls’ night” with her neighbors, where home-cooked meals and conversation create a space for friendship and support. She also enjoys gardening, finding joy in cultivating growth both in her plants and in her relationships. These personal passions reflect her warm, approachable nature and her belief in the power of small, meaningful connections.
At New Frontiers, Nora helps clients strengthen a wide range of executive functioning and life skills, including organization, planning, prioritization, and time management. She also supports individuals in career readiness, building communication skills, and balancing responsibilities. Her work emphasizes self-advocacy, stress management, and motivation, helping clients develop the tools they need not only to achieve immediate goals but also to sustain long-term growth and independence.
