Michele Madden-Perez

Coordinator at New Frontiers, helping students develop executive function skills, behavior strategies, and social-emotional growth for lifelong success.

"Resilience and grit keep us moving forward, but gratitude keeps us grounded. These are key elements and together, they strengthen executive function—sharpening focus, improving decision-making, and enhancing adaptability. When we cultivate all three, we unlock greater success, deeper relationships, and a more fulfilling life."

Michele Madden-Perez

Since joining New Frontiers in February 2022, Michele has brought a wealth of experience in education, psychology, and behavior support to her work with clients. With over 25 years in public education, she specializes in executive function skill development, behavior management, and social-emotional learning, helping students and families navigate academic and personal challenges with confidence.

Michele earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Education and Criminology from Pace University and went on to complete a Master’s degree and Professional Diploma in School Psychology from Fordham University. She furthered her expertise at the University of North Texas, earning a Behavior Analyst Certificate through five additional master’s-level courses.

Her career has included roles as a teacher, behavior consultant, and staff trainer, working with students from ages 3 to 18 with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety disorders, communication disorders, psychiatric diagnoses, ADHD, and learning disabilities. As a certified teacher of the handicapped, she spent seven years teaching elementary school students before transitioning into a behavior consultant role for 19 years, where she was passionate about training teachers, developing classroom management strategies, designing behavior support plans, and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs). She has also worked closely with parents and school districts, providing staff training, student transition support, and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) participation.

Michele remains deeply committed to helping students strengthen their executive function skills, build self-confidence, and reach their full potential.

Outside of her work, Michele has been married for 22 years and is a proud mother of three children (ages 12, 15, and 17). She loves traveling, hiking, and attending sporting events with her family, as well as spending time with her two adorable Labrador retrievers.
