Maura Sabatos-DeVito

Maura Sabatos-DeVito, Coordinator at New Frontiers
Maura earned a PhD in Developmental Science with a focus on the development of autism, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; a Master of Science in Psychology, Villanova University, PA; and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education, Saint Joseph’s University, PA. She obtained teaching certifications in New York. As an Assistant Professor, she conducts research on autism and ADHD from toddlerhood through adolescence, with a focus on social and self-regulation skills during parent-child interactions. She is also the Operations Manager of a center that promotes education, outreach, and research on issues impacting girls and women with ADHD.
She trained in Executive Skills Coaching with Dr. Peg Dawson and in Cindy Goldrich’s Calm and Connected: Parenting Children & Teens with ADHD/Executive Function Challenges© and ADHD & Executive Function Challenges: The Social & Emotional Impact on Learning, Motivation, Behavior, and the Family System© Parent Workshops.
Maura has extensive experience mentoring undergraduate and medical students in developing research and writing skills and learning about autism, ADHD, and child development. In her coaching, Maura has worked with autistic women and women with ADHD across the lifespan (high school through adulthood) to support their executive functioning challenges, to empower them to understand their strengths and challenges, and to identify and utilize environmental supports to achieve their goals.
Maura is a lifelong learner, dedicated advocate of young people and families, and thorough worker. She loves working out every day. When running, she listens to podcasts and audiobooks on parenting, ADHD and executive functioning. She has run several half-marathons and recently trained for and completed her first full marathon. Maura’s most cherished role is that of mom. She loves supporting her children in their passions and spending time playing games or exploring new places with them.
