Jon is an experienced special education teacher who earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Certification in General Special Education from the University of New Hampshire. He has taught adolescents and adult students in public and private schools; adult education programs; and community colleges.
As a Professional Tutor at two community colleges in New England, Jon has had the privilege of working with students who were the first generation in their family to attend higher education and also students who were learning how to navigate their specific learning and attention challenges. Jon also has considerable experience coaching second language learners and students perusing a GED as they work towards their higher education and career goals. As a coach, Jon partners with students, individuals beginning a career, and professionals on developing effective planning, organizational, time management, and study skills so that they can achieve their academic and career goals. He is also skilled in supporting the development of writing and developmental math skills.
Jon’s goal, when partnering with coaching clients, is to foster a strong foundation for life-long learning. Jon is also a Certified Classical Homeopath (CCH) and brings a holistic perspective to the coaching partnership. Clients view Jon as being considerate, receptive, thought-provoking, and personable. Jon spends his free time hiking, skiing, kayaking and exploring inspiring places.
