Jennifer Van Nice

Senior Coordinator at New Frontiers, ensuring high-quality coaching services and guiding individuals to build self-driven strategies for success.

"We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down."

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Jennifer’s career has always centered on helping others navigate challenges and build resilience. With a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kansas, she spent over a decade in the Workers’ Compensation field, serving as a Consultant in financial services and a Safety Leader in children’s social services and psychiatric hospitals. In these roles, she guided individuals through financial setbacks and life-changing injuries while helping organizations define and achieve their safety and well-being goals.

However, nothing brings Jennifer greater fulfillment than working one-on-one with eager minds ready to take on challenges. Her passion for mentorship and psychology research led her to work with youth in foster care, helping develop mentoring programs for young adults transitioning out of care. She has also contributed to extensive research in areas like Psycholinguistics, Teen Experiences, and Intergenerational Trauma, with a deep interest in understanding the links between trauma and executive function development.

As a Senior Coordinator at New Frontiers, Jennifer combines her expertise in psychology, trauma, and learning science to ensure high-quality coaching services, support coaches in refining their skills, and guide clients toward meaningful growth. She works closely with clients, families, and professionals, helping individuals develop the intrinsic motivation and strategies needed to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. She has experience supporting individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, NVLD, OCD, TBI, brain tumors, anxiety, and depression. Her approach is rooted in reframing experiences, identifying strengths, and fostering self-driven growth.

Outside of coaching, Jennifer thrives on creativity and intellectual exploration. She enjoys writing poetry, reading sci-fi and nonfiction, and playing Ticket to Ride with her family. She lives for dancing to live music, especially lo-fi jazzy beats, and is passionate about integrating knowledge across disciplines, always looking for unexpected connections between seemingly unrelated fields.
