What Coaching Looks Like In Action

After your discovery call, you might still have questions about what coaching actually looks like from week to week. This page outlines exactly what’s included in our services—how sessions are structured, who’s involved, and how we communicate to support both the client and stakeholders.

Our coaching is grounded in client-led goals, personalized support, and collaborative communication—so you always know what to expect.

Coaching sessions are structured to match the client’s needs and billed in 15-minute increments. Most clients meet atleast twice weekly in some combination of the following session types:

  • 45–60 minutes: Comprehensive sessions following our RASP model (Review, Assess, Strategize, Plan)

  • 15–30 minutes: Focused sessions using RAP (Review, Assess, Plan) for follow-through or quick check-ins

  • 15-minute text check-ins: Weekly messaging support for accountability, reminders, and encouragement

We work together to find the right format—and it may evolve over time as the client gains momentum.

We offer ad-hoc coaching support via phone, text, or email. When something comes up outside of a session—whether it’s a hard day, a last-minute assignment, or a moment of uncertainty—we aim to respond quickly. This time is billed in 15-minute increments as used.

  • Client: The individual receiving coaching services

  • Stakeholder: A person invested in the coaching outcome—this could be a parent, partner, employer, HR representative, business owner, therapist, teacher, or even the client themselves

  • Coach: The professional delivering coaching support

  • Coordinator: The point person managing logistics and stakeholder communication (sometimes also the coach)

  • Services Manager: Oversees overall quality and satisfaction across coaching engagements

Stakeholder collaboration is a cornerstone of our process. We actively work with those invested in the client’s success—whether that’s a parent, a partner, a therapist, a manager, or a member of a support team—while always keeping the client at the center of the process.

The Power of Collaboration

  • Client-Led Goals: Coaching is guided by the client’s goals, not the preferences of others. This makes the work more meaningful and sustainable.

  • Empowering Independence: Clients are supported in developing their own systems, confidence, and self-direction.

  • Neutral Coaching Space: Sessions are a safe place where clients explore strategies without judgment or pressure.

How Stakeholders Help

  • Aligned Support Systems: Together, we create consistency across home, work, or academic environments.

  • Shared Understanding: With client consent (18+), stakeholders may receive session summaries and updates.

  • Comprehensive Solutions: Stakeholder insights—whether from a manager, spouse, therapist, or teacher—help us build practical, relevant strategies that support real-world growth.

We include structured time for communication and collaboration as part of our service, separate from coaching sessions.

Each new or renewed contract includes:

  • 1 hour of complimentary communication/collaboration time

  • 1 additional hour for every 5 hours of coaching used

This time may be used for:

  • Kickoff/welcome meetings to share goals and expectations

  • Scheduled or ad-hoc check-ins

  • Team meetings with employers, educators, mental health professionals, or family members

  • Reviewing progress, surfacing concerns, or exploring ways to reinforce strategies in daily life

Format: Communication can be via phone, video, or text/email.

Important note: Communication time cannot be exchanged for additional coaching. If more time is needed, it will be billed from the client’s coaching hours.

Yes. Clients receive written notes after each coaching session. A stakeholder (with client approval, if 18+) also receive these notes when relevant, helping everyone stay on the same page.

Updates may also happen through scheduled check-ins or informal communication, depending on what’s most helpful.

Client autonomy is central to our work.

  • Clients age 18+ must give written permission before information is shared with any stakeholder.

  • Coaching goals come from the client, not their environment.

  • Sessions are confidential spaces for growth and self-reflection.

We believe coaching is most effective when clients feel safe, supported, and in charge of their own journey.

Here’s what coaching can look like for different types of clients:

  • A high school student meets weekly for one 60-minute RASP sessions, and a 30-minute RAP check in. The parent joins monthly to discuss progress.

  • A young adult uses three 30-minute RAP sessions per week to build task management, reduce overwhelm, and gain structure.

  • An adult professional receives weekly one 45-minute session, and one 30-minute session focused on improving work-life balance, managing deadlines, and building executive functioning skills for their career. With permission, their manager or HR representative joins a quarterly check-in call to align on progress and support.

We tailor coaching structures to fit each individual’s lifestyle, responsibilities, and goals.
