Senior Coordinator
Jennifer Van Nice
"We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down."
Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Jennifer’s career has always been dedicated to helping others navigate challenges and build resilience. As a Senior Coordinator at New Frontiers, she combines her background in psychology, trauma, and learning science to ensure high-quality coaching services for every client. In this role, she supports coaches in refining their practice, collaborates with families and professionals, and works directly with individuals to cultivate intrinsic motivation and effective strategies for growth. Her approach centers on reframing experiences, recognizing strengths, and guiding clients toward sustainable progress in their personal, academic, and professional lives.
Jennifer brings a wealth of experience that informs her coaching. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kansas and spent more than a decade in the Workers’ Compensation field. There, she served as a Consultant in financial services and as a Safety Leader in children’s social services and psychiatric hospitals. In these roles, she supported individuals facing financial setbacks and life-changing injuries while also helping organizations define and achieve their safety and well-being goals. Alongside this professional foundation, Jennifer pursued her passion for mentorship and research, working with youth in foster care to develop mentoring programs for young adults transitioning out of care. She also contributed to extensive research in psycholinguistics, adolescent experiences, and intergenerational trauma, exploring how early experiences shape development and influence executive functioning.
At New Frontiers, Jennifer integrates this knowledge to support clients with a wide range of challenges, including difficulty with focus, motivation, emotional regulation, and transitions. She has experience working with individuals managing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, NVLD, OCD, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, anxiety, and depression. By approaching each client as a whole person rather than a diagnosis, she helps them strengthen skills such as organization, time management, planning and prioritization, task initiation, and self-monitoring. Her work emphasizes building resilience, fostering self-advocacy, and cultivating the confidence to move through obstacles with clarity and persistence.
Outside of coaching, Jennifer thrives on creativity and exploration. She enjoys writing poetry, reading both sci-fi and nonfiction, and spending time with her family over a game of Ticket to Ride. Music and movement are also central to her life—she loves dancing to live performances, especially lo-fi and jazzy beats. Jennifer has a deep passion for integrating knowledge across disciplines, always curious about the connections between seemingly unrelated fields and the new perspectives they bring.
Jennifer’s expertise and passion allow her to support clients in developing strategies for organization, time management, focus, and planning, while also navigating perfectionism, procrastination, and stress. She helps individuals strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and balance the demands of work, school, and life. By fostering resilience and self-driven growth, she empowers clients to move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
