"When educators understand how the brain processes information, they gain the power to respond rather than react—to guide rather than manage. We don't just teach strategies—we shift mindsets."

About Shannon M.
A Little About Me
I started my career teaching in inner-city Los Angeles before moving into instructional coaching, where I trained under the Gates College-Ready Promise Grant and in Positive Discipline and Cognitive Coaching. That whole-person, trauma-informed lens works just as well with an adult navigating a career pivot as it does with a student navigating school.
I love designing learning experiences that make people feel more capable and confident, whether that’s a client, a teacher, or a whole school community. Creativity and connection are what keep me energized.
My Coaching Style
I believe understanding how the brain works gives people the power to respond thoughtfully instead of reacting—that’s the mindset shift I try to create in every session.
Clients describe me as warm, practical, and a little bit funny—I like keeping things human, even when we’re working through something hard.
I focus on building lasting change in how people communicate and handle conflict, alongside the more traditional planning work.
