"Learning is not just about knowledge—it’s about developing the skills to think critically, adapt, and take control of your own success."
Patrick G.
As an Executive Function Coach at New Frontiers, Patrick partners with clients and families to provide personalized support that strengthens executive function skills, reading comprehension, and critical thinking. Since joining New Frontiers in 2016, he has worked with more than 150 students and clients with diverse learning profiles, guiding them in developing strategies for both academic and personal success. Patrick is valued for his ability to connect with clients, tailor his approach to individual needs, and provide practical tools that help them move toward independence and confidence.
Patrick is a graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at the College of Staten Island (CUNY) and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Adelphi University. His early professional experiences included tutoring at Adelphi University’s Learning and Writing Center, where he supported students across a variety of disciplines, including those in Adelphi’s Bridges Program for students with learning differences. Through this work, he developed a strong foundation in writing instruction, executive function skill-building, and critical thinking support—all of which continue to inform his coaching today.
At New Frontiers, Patrick draws on both his academic background and his years of coaching experience to help clients build essential executive function skills such as organization, planning, prioritization, time management, and follow-through. He also works closely with individuals to strengthen study strategies, reading comprehension, and communication skills. His thoughtful, individualized approach empowers clients to recognize their strengths, address areas of challenge, and develop strategies they can carry into school, work, and daily life.
Outside of his professional role, Patrick is a passionate learner and creator. He enjoys writing poetry, photography, gardening, and playing basketball. A lifelong Bruce Springsteen fan, he has attended more than 50 concerts, and he is an avid reader who has completed every novel by Kurt Vonnegut. He also has a keen interest in tree identification across Eastern North America and has traveled extensively to countries including Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, and Russia. In the summertime, Patrick can often be found enjoying the beaches of Cape May, New Jersey, where he values time to recharge and reflect.
At New Frontiers, Patrick supports clients in building executive function strategies that address organization, time management, task initiation, and academic planning, while also helping them strengthen writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills. His blend of expertise, creativity, and personal passion allows him to create engaging, individualized coaching partnerships that prepare clients for success across academic, professional, and personal settings.
