About Octavia R.

A Little About Me

I’ve spent more than a decade helping people discover what they’re capable of. My journey has taken me through classrooms, one-on-one mentoring, academic coaching, and educational leadership, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting middle school, high school, college, and adult learners through some of life’s biggest challenges and transitions.

I’m currently a Teacher Mentor at Fusion Academy, and I’m also completing my graduate degree in School Counseling. Those experiences have shaped the way I coach: I understand that success isn’t just about organization or productivity, it’s about confidence, self-awareness, resilience, and having someone who genuinely believes in you.

Outside of coaching, I enjoy the simple things that help me stay connected, curious, and inspired. I love reading, traveling, watching true crime documentaries, and finding new ways to continue making a positive impact in the lives of others. Whether I’m mentoring young people, encouraging someone as they pursue their goals, or spending quality time with the people I love, I’m always looking for ways to uplift and support those around me.

I also spent several years coaching middle and high school cheerleading, an experience that shaped me in so many ways. It taught me the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and celebrating every victory, big or small. Those lessons continue to influence the way I show up for others and the way I help people recognize their own potential.

My Coaching Style

The most important thing I build with every client is trust.

I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves. That’s why I take time to understand who you are before focusing on what you want to accomplish. Every client has different strengths, different obstacles, and different goals, so I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching.

My approach is supportive, encouraging, structured, and collaborative. I’ll challenge you when you need it, celebrate your wins, and remind you of your strengths when you’ve forgotten them yourself. My goal isn’t simply to help you accomplish today’s task—it’s to help you develop the confidence and skills to navigate tomorrow’s challenges independently.

Whether you’re working through executive functioning challenges, navigating school or career decisions, managing a major life transition, or simply trying to feel more confident in yourself, we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your life and the way your mind works.

Working Together

Clients who enjoy working with me often appreciate that I:

  • Lead with compassion and genuine connection.

  • Meet you where you are without judgment.

  • Help you build confidence alongside practical skills.

  • Create a structure that’s personalized instead of rigid.

  • Celebrate progress while keeping sight of your long-term goals.

  • Believe in your potential, even on the days you don’t.

I love watching people realize they’re capable of more than they imagined. Seeing someone grow in confidence, overcome obstacles they once thought were impossible, and begin believing in themselves is the most rewarding part of what I do. My hope is that every client leaves our time together feeling empowered, encouraged, and equipped to move forward with confidence.
