About Frances S.
A Little About Me
I’ve spent more than forty years in education, as both a teacher and a certified School Psychologist, and I hold licenses in both fields. Over the years I’ve worked on school climate and anti-bullying initiatives, run staff trainings, and partnered with families across a wide range of ages and needs. I’ve spent most of my career with middle-schoolers and their families, but I feel just as comfortable working with clients of any age.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of four (three sons and a daughter, plus a daughter-in-law now) and a grandmother to two amazing grandsons. I love dancing, Zumba, playing the piano, jigsaw puzzles, and the beach, and most of all, time with my family and my two dogs. A couple of fun facts: I’ve zip-lined along Niagara Falls, and for my 60th birthday I took a hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley.
My Coaching Style
My approach is guided by one simple belief: we accomplish so much more with kindness and understanding than we do with pressure.
Clients and families describe me as honest, supportive, empathetic, and flexible. I love learning new techniques and staying current, and I bring decades of real classroom and family experience to every session.
I especially enjoy helping clients get organized—prioritizing a busy schedule, mapping out a long-term project, or building a system that actually works for how they think.
Working Together
Clients who enjoy working with me often appreciate that I:
- Bring over 40 years of real classroom and family experience
- Lead every session with kindness, honesty, and empathy
- Help you prioritize, plan, and organize big or messy projects
- Stay flexible and open to whatever approach actually works for you
- Bring genuine warmth to every conversation, whatever the challenge
Kindness first, kindness second, kindness third, that’s the philosophy behind everything I do.
