Emily is a National Board-Certified Coach at New Frontiers who brings a deeply collaborative, strengths-based approach to her work with students and adults. With over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families, she partners with clients to build practical systems that foster greater independence, confidence, and balance. Emily is known for her ability to create a supportive and grounded coaching environment where individuals feel understood while also being gently challenged to take meaningful steps forward. She specializes in helping clients strengthen executive functioning skills, navigate periods of overwhelm or burnout, and develop sustainable strategies that support both immediate goals and long-term growth.
Emily’s professional background is both extensive and multidisciplinary. She is a certified teacher and a certified professional school counselor, holding a master’s degree in education. Her work spans school counseling, executive function coaching, and mind–body wellness, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors intersect in daily life. Emily integrates a range of evidence-informed approaches into her coaching, including motivational interviewing as well as principles from cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical behavior therapies. She also incorporates neurosomatic processing techniques to help clients better understand and regulate their internal experiences. This blend of strategies allows her to meet clients where they are while equipping them with tools that are both practical and adaptable across settings.
In her work with clients, Emily supports a wide range of needs, including one-on-one coaching, academic and life transitions, and preparation for tests, interviews, and other high-stakes situations. She is experienced in collaborating with families and schools, offering guidance around systems such as 504 plans and IEPs to help ensure that supports are aligned and effective. Emily is particularly passionate about helping individuals build lives that feel not only successful, but also sustainable and humane. She believes that growth does not have to come at the expense of well-being, and that with the right structure and support, people can move forward in ways that feel both empowering and manageable.
Outside of her professional work, Emily brings the same curiosity and care for well-being into her personal life. She is a certified yoga teacher and personal trainer who enjoys helping others connect with movement in ways that feel accessible and energizing. At the same time, she values slower, reflective moments and can often be found curled up with a good book and a cup of tea. She also enjoys creative writing and brainstorming new ideas, embracing both structure and imagination as important parts of a balanced life. This blend of energy and reflection mirrors the approach she brings to her coaching, where productivity and self-compassion go hand in hand.
Emily supports clients in areas such as planning and prioritization, time management, task initiation, and maintaining follow-through on goals. She works with individuals to strengthen emotional regulation, manage stress and overwhelm, and build routines that support consistency without rigidity. She also helps clients improve organization, develop effective study and work strategies, and navigate transitions with greater clarity and confidence. In addition, Emily supports growth in social confidence, communication, and relationship-building, while helping individuals navigate challenges such as perfectionism, procrastination, difficulty getting started, and sustaining attention.
