About Chris S.
A Little About Me
I split my time between coaching and teaching multiple sciences, study skills, executive functions, and life skills at Fusion Academy, and I love them all. Teaching has taught me how to break big, intimidating subjects down into steps anyone can follow, a skill that works just as well for an adult building better work habits as it does for a teenager tackling algebra. I always meet clients at their own pace, whatever stage of life they’re in.
When I’m not coaching or teaching, you’ll find me outside with my fiancé and our dog, hiking or at the beach. I’ve also played competitive rugby for over a decade and still play in local softball and darts leagues—I like a little friendly competition.
My Coaching Style
I believe in mastering foundational skills before moving to the harder stuff. We build step by step, so progress actually sticks instead of crumbling under pressure.
Clients know me as practical and hands-on. I’ve sat in CSE meetings and written IEPs, and that experience navigating complex systems carries over directly into helping adult clients navigate workplace expectations, paperwork, or any other process that feels overwhelming.
My goal is always independence—I want clients to leave with tools they can use on their own, not a dependence on me.
Working Together
Clients who enjoy working with me often appreciate that I:
-
Build skills step by step so progress holds up under pressure
-
Bring real experience navigating complex systems—schools, paperwork, or workplace processes—on your behalf
-
Meet you exactly where you are, at your own pace
-
Keep things practical and hands-on, never one-size-fits-all
-
Encourage independence and self-advocacy at every stage
Confidence comes from mastering the fundamentals—I want every client to feel that sense of “I’ve got this.”
